May 17, El Taj Ocean and El Taj Beach
Surprise, surprise, it’s another beautiful day in Paradise!!! The sun is shining, the birds are signing and we awake to the sound of waves crashing the shore. Today we visit both El Taj Properties: El Taj Ocean and El Taj Beach. The names are confusing. El Taj Ocean is on the beach and has views of the beach and water. El Taj Beach is across the street and some rooms have views.
El Taj Beach has 16 units. One is a 4 bedroom penthouse (the only one we have) and the rest are a mix of 1 Bedroom, 2 bedroom, and 2 Bedroom Penthouses. I love the pool here – it’s large, quiet and has beautiful reflecting tiles and waterfalls. We usually cool off in this pool when we stay at El Taj Ocean. El Taj Beach has a Bali theme to it that you can see in the outdoor furniture, lighting and pots. Very pretty.
El Taj Ocean also has a Bali theme, but the beach and its aura are what dominate. It has 41 units ( 1, 2, 3 bedroom and 2 and 3 bedroom penthouses) and it’s the most in demand of all the properties because it’s on the beach. The nicest 1 bedroom is 341 (largest, closest to the beach, and the only one to have a large, private balcony off the master bedroom as well as a terrace off the kitchen and living room, with views of the beach and water from every room. 343, and 344 are the best 2 bedroom units and have their own private jacuzzi’s. 345 is the best 2 BR Penthouse (penthouses also have a private rooftop with Jacuzzi, gas grill and lounge furniture). I would rate this among the top 3 properties in Playa for beauty, location, and value.
By the time we get done here we are wiped out and run up to the pool at Porto Playa to
Tonight we celebrate Ed’s birthday at Las Casueles. Ed’s our idol – he works remotely in Playa for a business in Canada. Does it get any better than that?
