The El Camaleon Golf Club, a 7,000 yard course, was designed by the legendary Greg Norman. El Camaleon was host to the Mayakoba Golf Classic, the only annual PGA Tour Event in Mexico. As its name suggest, El Camaleon blends three distinct landscapes – tropical jungle, dense mangroves, and oceanfront stretches of sand with holes bisected by massive limestone canals, even incorporating a cenote, a massive, ancient cavern common to the area.
